Projects
The Richland Public Facilities District oversees the planning, financing, and long-term stewardship of public facilities that serve Richland and the Mid-Columbia region. RPFD’s work unfolds over time—beginning with completed projects and continuing through future planning efforts guided by public input, partnerships, and transparent governance.

REACH Museum
The REACH Museum represents RPFD’s first completed public facility project and serves as a foundational element of Columbia Park West.

RPFD provided long-term planning, financing, and public stewardship for the facility. Day-to-day operations, programming, and visitor experiences are managed by the REACH Museum and its nonprofit partner, the Reach Foundation.

This project reflects RPFD’s role in supporting community assets through responsible planning and governance, while allowing specialized organizations to operate and activate public facilities.

RPFD’s work continues beyond completed projects through long-range planning and public engagement.

Columbia Park West is the long-term focus of RPFD’s strategic planning efforts.
Building on the foundation established by the REACH Museum, RPFD is working to update the Columbia Park West master plan to explore future public facilities and shared community spaces that reflect community priorities and long-term needs.

Planning efforts are guided by public engagement, partnerships with community organizations, and careful evaluation of long-range impacts. Specific facilities, timelines, and funding approaches will be developed through formal planning processes and public review.
